54th week of My Facebook

26 09 2008

Just realize that I have been “facebooking” for one year already. At first look, I thought it was just another network making website where we can make communication with others by viewing their profiles and adding them to your friends’ list. Actually, it is just one of the main features of the Facebook. Another main attractions of Facebook is its capability of adding applications or most of us will called it as games (huhu, online games!) that can be used or played with friends in our Facebook’s friends list.

I had try several applications already such as SuperPoke (My favourite app. coz i can get to poke my friends virtually), Top Friends (Featured Friends version in Friendster), Chinese and Tarot Astrology, Haikoo Zoo and Fluffy Friends (virtual pet app.), Birthday Calender and several games applications such as Parking Wars, Mob Wars, Speed Racing, Virtual City, Elven Blood and Blood Lust.

Facebook doesn’t change a lot for the whole year in term of services and purposes but maybe there is one change that might not get the nod from all its users. It is the new layout that make everyone confusing especially those who are relatively new to Facebook. Actually I give a thumbs up (but not so up, HAHA) to this layout because it eliminated traffic jam of Internet when we try to open someone’s profile with a lot of applications. Some people just know to add applications to their page upon invitations from their friends without trying it out after that make their page too “heavy” to be visited. The only flaw in the new layout is the confusing page navigation of Facebook because some links or buttons are directing us to same page (Ajax based technology! HUHU) yet some will open up new pages for us. I hope the Facebook’s developmentĀ  team will try to figure out the best layout for it in the future.

For the being, I’ll still playing Facebook and superpoking you all in the virtual world! HAHA…

What is the below superpoke action named?

PS: Anyone can guess who is my 1st friend in Facebook? One Wall’s Cornetto is awaiting you to eat it :P

Emoticon Madness

25 09 2008

Recently I quite hooked up with instant messenger because continuous connection to the Internet. To make my IM more interesting, I put several emoticons in it so that I can show pictures to my friends instead of words when we are chatting to each others. Most emoticons I used lately are those from so-called “Onion Head” collection. Actually I “steal” from the Internet after searching for the full package of the “Onion Head” emoticons a few weeks before. Since WordPress doesn’t allow me to upload .ZIP or .RAR file type, I decided to upload a few of them which I think are interesting. Feel free to steal it!. Muahaha…

Rewind to Around 1 Year Ago

22 09 2008

It have a long time since I wrote this kind of entry because my recent blog were about poetry and some forwarded ‘blogs’. Actually I want to tell you all about what I been thought last weekend but the story might not long enough to be in my blog entry. HAHA… it will be a long entry again… I promised.

Last weekend, my housemate invited me to go to the market with them to buy stuffs for lunch that will be prepared by my roomate. However, I decided I don’t want to go because I was just wake up. Actually I ended up sleeping most of the time during Saturday and Sunday. Maybe I was too “exhausted” mentally and emotionally because of things that I shouldn’t think too much.

Back to what I thought on that Saturday. When I was a small kid, I usually will follow my mom to go the market even I have to wake up early in the morning. Maybe I that time was a mummy’s kid or simple I want my mom to buy something for me during during the time we walk at the market places. As I gradually grew up, the occassion became rather extinct till I can’t remember when was the last time I accompanied my mom to the market to buy things to be cooked for the family. Even when I and my mom go shopping, I seldom accompany her already as I usually will go my way till she call me to end the shopping. Hope I still go shopping or buy things with my mom more in the future. Or at least drive the car for her :p

Back to one year from today. Maybe this was one of the day that I will never forget for very long time. Or maybe I won’t forget it at all. On this day a year ago, I decided to move on from something that I deemed as impossible to be reconciled again because of the distance between us and the difference of our ambitions. Maybe I didn’t make anything to understand you more but do you even try to know me better? Still I thank God for knowing you.

However, there is another thing that I a bit confused even till now. The time I decided to move on, is it another test coming in my way? Maybe, the incident that happened next is due to my ignorance and lack of actions to make things correct. For the next few months, I was so sad and depresses because of thinking it too much. Everytime I saw that person, I was feeling the distance of us physically close yet emotionally far away. When you told me what happened to you in the end of my campus life, I was wondering what is God trying to show me again this time? Do I pass Your test or I still not yet good enough? For weeks, I thought about it either positively or negatively. Sometimes I want to smile and laugh about you yet I want to cry for you too. Yet again, I continue to hope for the best in the future.

PS: The month of September is the month where many of my friends will having there birthday celebration. Here I wish you all Happy birthday no matter where you all are. Since tomorrow will be 23rd September, here I wish my special birthday to my tallest guy friend: Tan Jiunn Woei, my “yamcha friend” who are currently taking master at UPM and tallest gal friend: Goh Wai Moi, my ex-classmate who are currently having her 4th and final year in degree of education at UM. What If (Fan Wei Qi feat Angela Zhang)

7 09 2008

(Fan fan)
I’ve thought about something
It’s not something bad
Kept on persisting to myself
The meaning of love
Like the wind, blowing gently and strolls along without a reason
There’s no right and wrong in love
Won’t bother about time
Telling us how difficult it would be if we’re together

(Angela)
I don’t dare to verify
‘Love you’,these two words
Not constraining myself
Also not satirizing
The others said that I am actually very ignorant
This kind of love is very uncontrollable
I’m very dissatisfied
I’m still thinking about it

(Fanfan)
If you can’t control
Thinking of me once every day
You’re honest because of me

(Angela)
If you see the movie I love
Listen to the CD I love
If you can take me traveling with you

(Fanfan)
If you’ve decided to follow your feelings
Be brave for love once
If you said that we have each other

(Angela)
If you start to believe
This kind of love
If you can tell me what if

(Together)
I just want to you to tell me what if
Then, I will go all the way to love you.

Back Hometown (New Home)

5 09 2008

Last week, I went back to my hometown in conjunction to the Independence Day’s public holiday. Actually, I wasn’t planning to go back there but my mom told me that the family was planning to move “fully” to the new house that was brought a year ago. So on Saturday afternoon, I took bus from Sungai Nibong bus station to Ipoh as there are no direct bus trip from Penang Island to Teluk Intan. Unless I took the Transnasional bus from Butterworth but I have no time to go there to bus the ticket alll the time.

As I arrived at Ipoh, my plan to go shopping with my brother was dashed as my parents too was coming to Ipoh to fetch us back hometown. An hour after I arrived at Ipoh around 3pm, we went back to Teluk Intan. Upon arrival, it is just 7pm but I was so tired and rejected my friend’s invitation for a drink.

So on Sunday, which is 31st August, we finally make our move to the new house “official” by having prayers and sumptuous lunch and dinner so that all of us can have meals together celebrating our new house.

I noticed that our new house doesn’t not many new things compared to previous home apart from new TV set and some decorations. Here are some of them:

LCD TV and PC monitor

37" LCD TV and PC monitor

Cute Marvel model kit

Cute Marvel hero model

New Bed set in our siblings' room

New Bed set for our siblings

Since I can’t go for some shopping at Ipoh, then I decided to go to few shopping complex in the town to buy some things back home. In the end, I brought a few new clothes and one MASTER GRADE (MG) Gundam model kit (not yet start to build it yet, HAHA).

Feel so good at hometown althought it is just 4 days. Hope can have more times with my family and friends at hometown. Who say we can’t have good times even we miss something else? HAHA…

PS (postscript): Sad coz have to back to work again. Still miss those university days. Sigh…
